Sound Aspects

News on the "Sound Health" Front

I've received word that Sharry Edwards has become affiliated with a degree-granting college in Ohio. At press time, I haven't gotten confirmation yet -- but for those of you who know about her work with Signature Sounds and healing, this is great news. And if you don't know about it, either check in with my past articles, check her website, or see me next month!

On the downer side, Don Campbell informed me that his Institute of Music, Health and Education has suddenly been disbanded. The Institute offered a sound curriculum both in-person and in many cities around the country.

On the positive side, a new organization is forming with the intent of offering an even broader spectrum of courses, workshops and resources related to sound healing. I'll have more information shortly, so stay tuned to this column and our website.

In the immediate future, the Fifth International Sound Colloquium, founded by Jeff Volk, is scheduled for August 14-17 in Loveland, Colorado. The Colloquium provides a forum where health practitioners, researchers and performers share insights and ideas. Attendees will explore innovative uses of sound and music to enhance well-being and to attune and evolve our bodymind. Many internationally recognized experts will be there, including Dr. Valerie Hunt, Fabien Maman (from France) and Jonathan Goldman. For info, call immediately as space is limited: (970) 679-4306. I'll be there for the entire conference.

I've also just discovered something that supports my general health and well-being in the same general, holistic way that relaxational music does. (In past columns, I've shared information on devices that balance our environment, especially in the electromagnetic arena, such as the Q-Link from Clarus and the Bio-Electric Shield. Both of these devices are "jewelry" that serves a noticeably functional use of balancing our energy fields as well.

This latest discovery assists the body in coming back into balance, and comes in the form of a liquid. Almost as easy to take as listening to beautiful music, simply taking one teaspoonful in a glass of water right before going to sleep assists the body in repairing itself.

The secret is a remarkable product that puts collagen back into the body. Everyone, it seems, needs collagen, but we lose it as we grow older. Restoring our youthful levels produces wonderful results.

I've noticed I'm already sleeping an hour less per night, and waking up with more energy! Although I haven't lost weight as many people do, my pants fit me again. (That single benefit alone has saved me from buying a whole new wardrobe, and more than pays for the product I use.)

An unexpected bonus: as many of us blondes and redheads know all too well, we are prone to a facial blemish syndrome known as rosacea. When I consulted a dermatologist last year, he told me to put some chemical ointment on it, stop eating bananas (and I love bananas) and learn to accept and live with the condition, which looks a bit like acne. I'm not a teenager, and I don't eat chocolate. It didn't seem fair!

A month or so into the Calorad® supplement, I looked into the mirror and noticed what I didn't see! My face was clear. If you'd like some more information about this amazing liquid food supplement which works very synergistically with the music, please contact me for a free brochure.

"We Get Letters" Department

I've received more requests to produce a subliminal tape/CD that supports breaking the smoking "habit" than any other topic. I'm pleased to say that title is finally in production, using state of the art scripting and sound processing. Also in the works is an album created with the intention to enhance your experience of "Abundance and Prosperity," in all its many manifestations. They'll both be on the market starting in August (unless you would prefer to be part of our pre-market research. Please contact my office for details, or e-mail me at innerpeacemusic@innerpeacemusic.com.)

Finally, with a view toward enhancing the interactive nature of this column (and not coincidentally related to the timeliness of the "Abundance" project), I'm in pre-production with a project I've had first-hand experience with.

Not long ago, I joined the ranks of the newly divorced. Since then, I've been amazed at the similarity of stories that so many men and women have shared with me. The tentative title is "Thriving After Divorce: A Sound Support Group." If you've gone through this "initiation," have some affirmations that you found particularly helpful, and would be willing to share them with me and your fellow brothers and sisters, please send them to me in the next two weeks. You'll receive a copy of the tape or CD when it is released -- in addition to the satisfaction of contributing to a much-needed resource.

Until next time, keep some music in your life -- and stay tuned!
