My Current Opinion
Gardeners

by Guy Spiro

Over the past several months I have been visited with a recurring vision. It is persistent and insistent on being shared and I must communicate it.

I have seen the creation of Meditation and Prayer Gardens that are open to people of all races, creeds and colors. A desire to commune with and contribute conscious energy to the well-being of the Earth and a quiet respect for the prayers and meditations of others is the commonality required for entrance. The Gardens are places for people to go for prayer and meditation, whatever tradition they represent, and practices are limited only to not disturbing others.

At appointed times we gather for the purpose of healing and honoring our home, the Earth. At appointed times people all over the planet gather at their local Gardens for global communion. Gardens are open to the public as many hours of the day as possible.

In urban areas there are fountains and waterfalls constructed to quiet the sounds of the city. In peaceful areas the local sounds of nature are enjoyed. Larger Gardens have architecture from the world's traditions, past and present. Labyrinths, medicine wheels, scale models of Stonehenge and many other spiritual constructions are built as desired by those supporting and tending their local Gardens. There are grand Gardens covering many acres and many more small neighborhood Gardens as conditions allow. Gardeners of great wealth and lesser means alike contribute as they may. Gardens are as beautiful and nurturing to the soul as the local Gardeners can manage. There are a million and more Gardens scattered over the planet and all are nurtured and supported by their local populations. One day the whole world will be a Garden.

It is time to connect to our Mother, the Earth, in a conscious manner. We must now rise to the challenge to heal the wounds to the planet that greed, ignorance and fear have caused. By working with Gaia Herself, in conjunction with the world of the nature spirits, we can return our home to the Garden that we once were given.

We are all Gardeners.
