HOLY MOTHER OF INDIA
SHREE MAA VISITS CHICAGO

On May 22 and 23, Chicago will be graced with a visit by one of India's most revered saints, Shree Maa. Shree Maa was featured on the cover of Linda Johnsen's book, Daughters of the Goddess - Women Saints of India. Johnsen says, "I have read a great deal about the cultivation of egolessness, but nothing could have prepared me for the experience of actually being in the presence of pure Selflessness."

On Saturday May 22 at 7pm, Shree Maa, along with renowned Swami Satyananda Saraswati, invite you to join them for an evening of singing, discourse, celebration and personal blessings at the Unity Church of Chicago, 1925 W. Thome.

On Sunday, May 23 at 2pm, Maa and Swami invite you to join them as they perform the traditional Vedic fire ceremony along with singing, dancing and chanting the names of the Goddess at the Chicago lakefront, 1/8 mile south of Foster Avenue Beach. Both programs are free of charge. For more information, call 847/492-0077.

FUN DOINGS ALL DAY CELEBRATE
INTEGRATION OF MIND, BODY AND SPIRIT

The MoonBeats Circle will be hosting a Holistic Arts Faire on Sunday, May 23 at the Beverly Unitarian Church in Chicago -- a worthy event in any case, but particularly so since the proceeds are slated for the funding of tuckpointing and roof repairs to the church.

The Faire begins at 1pm and ends at 7pm and will be both inside the church building and out on the grounds, weather permitting. Before the fair, at 10am, there will be a special Sunday service led by the Reverend Leonetta Bugleisi with a sermon on "Energy Transformation with Buddha." Throughout the afternoon, Rev. Bugleisi will guide people in walking the labyrinth on the front lawn of the church. During the day, for no admission, you'll be able to visit vendors and crafters to purchase unique and wonderful items for magic, meditation, healing and adornment. There will be sellers of books, clothing, jewelry, incense, oils, drums and percussion instruments (from the Guitar Center), CDs, magickal tools, food and drink (from Café Luna), and more. You will be able to experience the relaxation offered by healers as you take advantage of massage, reflexology, Reiki, dowsing, CranioSacral therapy, and more. You can marvel at the insight of readers who will be offering such arts as tarot, astrology, runes and palmistry. All of the readers and healers are generously donating their services, and appointments can be made at the gate on a first-come, first-served basis. The celebration will end with a Community Drumming Circle at 6pm. Bring your drum and percussion instruments or try out your new ones!

For more information or to order tickets to experience healers, you may contact Teresa Lynch at 773/233-3702 or moonbeats@uss.net or Dawn Curtis at 708/424-7145.

Beverly Unitarian Church is located at 10244 S. Longwood (at 103rd and Longwood) in the beautiful, historic Beverly neighborhood on the southwest side of Chicago, easily accessible by any of the major expressways.
