Letters of wisdom and affirmation.

Dear Louise,
Your book, You Can Heal Your Life, has helped me work through many old issues and heal new ones that have come up. Thank you for all that you are doing to help people realize that perfect health is their birthright. Now, on to my question.
My 12-year-old daughter has been diagnosed with Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD). She doesn't have hyperactivity with it and takes medication. I would like to know how to deal with this issue on a metaphysical level. I believe that everything begins in our minds, and the tools for healing are found there, also. Please give me some hints as to possible causes of ADD and how to help my daughter heal this effect.

Dear A.D.,

Thank you for your kind words. Rejoice in your daughter; she is probably one of
the many Indigo Children coming into the world these days. Do read the book, The Indigo Children, by Lee Carroll and Jan Tober. (The appendix of the book will give you lots of contact information.) You need to learn more about these special kids. They are a new breed of children that have come in to lead us through this coming century. The oldest of these children are now about 18.
Indigos are extremely bright children who know where they came from and why they are here. They are not really understood by others, though, and in schools they're often labeled ADD because they have no patience with school as it is being taught now. I
believe that schools will finally be forced to change their archaic ways of teaching by the
vast numbers of these children now coming through. They will be too much for the
current school system.
I would never allow a child to be put on Ritalan. Ritilan is a drug on the same order as cocaine. I am appalled by the thousands of children that are being turned into drug addicts. All the best with your daughter.

Dear Louise,
I am a 32-year-old physician's assistant, the mother of two small children, a wife,
entrepreneur, daughter, sister, and friend. I see an average of 20 patients a day with a
multitude of different problems and complaints. It seems to me that some of these patients want to give me their negative energy as a way of meeting their needs. I am a very sensitive and compassionate person by nature and thus end up taking their negative energy on myself, which seems to block or drain my positive energy.
I do my affirmations every morning before work, but by noon, I have a sour, distrusting and very judgmental outlook on my career and the world in general. When I get home from work, I snap at my husband and kids and seem to be a totally different person from the one that left the house that morning.
In order to continue on my chosen path I would like some suggestions on how to handle this day-to-day draining of my positive energy. Than you for your supportive and positive energy.
L.B., Antioch, CA

Dear L.B.,

You have a lot on your plate, and you've chosen a challenging career. It gives you
20 opportunities a day to express love in the face of fear. Your patients are frightened and
do not understand that their negative attitudes are contributing to their conditions. Begin
to say to each patient silently, "I love you, and I see the love and joy and health in you.
You are safe." Do not pay attention to their fears. Just keep knowing the truth for them.
After a while, you might even just say to each one, "I love you and you are safe."
Between each patient, say to yourself, "I bless him/her with love. All is well and I
am safe." At the end of the day when you get in your car to go home, stop for a moment,
close your eyes, breathe deeply, and say, "I have done my best. I now release the day
with love. I am free to enjoy my family. All is well and I am safe."

Dear Louise,

Your affirmations and prayers really help a lot, and to know that I am loved by others as I love myself is a joy!
I need some help on a work situation. The job I have is not for my highest good. The only thing keeping me there is money. I would love to work at home in a mail-order business, yet I'm concerned about paying expenses and having extras. I am saving what I can and have formulated a plan for my business.
I am using blessing-with-love affirmations and am working on your deservability treatment. Do you have any other solutions? I'd really like to leave my job and do what I love, yet this fear of not being taken care of creeps in despite my inner work.
D.D., Norfolk, VA

Dear D.D.,

I would suggest that you begin your mail-order business part time. You don't have
to leave your job right this moment. My own publishing firm began many years ago as a
small, part-time mail-order business that I ran from my bedroom. Over time it has grown
into the company called Hay House and is very successful.
Begin to put the plan you already have into motion on a small scale. The amount
of business you will generate at first can easily be handled in an hour or two in the
evenings or on weekends. When your mail-order business is bringing in enough money,
then you can easily release the other job. In the meantime, keep blessing your current
job with love. It served a good purpose in its day.
See your new business as one where you and the customer "bless and prosper each other." Give the best service you can. Bless each order with love when you receive it and when you send it out. In the early days, I put a stamp on each package that said POSTMEN ARE BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE. Be sure to love yourself and have fun in the process. Keep affirming: MY BUSINESS IS CONSTANTLY GROWING AND PROSPERING.
