Inner Light Astrology will present Stephanie Clement, well known for astrological career counseling and spiritual development, who will speak on The Great Mutation Conjunction on March 17 from 7-9pm.

"HEALING HARPS"
TO PLAY AT UNITY CHURCH OF PEACE

On Sunday,. March 26, Dr. Ronald Price of the Northern Illinois University at DeKalb, IL will present his "Healing Harps" at Unity Church of Peace, 2934 N. Lincoln Avenue, Chicago, at the 11am service and again in an afternoon concert at 1pm following a potluck lunch.

Price is a professor of music and holds a Ph.D. in Special Education. He founded is unique musical group in 1985 to acknowledge the therapeutic value of what he calls "music medicine."

"We have to be careful of how we interpret 'healing,'" cautions Price, who doesn't claim miracles or magic from his strings. "It's not just tissue and skin, but for an individual's social, emotional and spiritual part." The concept of music as therapy came to Price as he was working with children who had physical or learning disabilities and behavioral disorders at NIU. He chose the harp because of its soothing sound. He believes that playing the harp requires the musician to be very focused and to concentrate on the instrument, which may help increase body strength and improve motor skills. The sound comes out of the back of the harp so that the musician is flooded with vibrations, as well.

In past years, Healing Harps has played for hospitals and several medical associations. The concerts have included presentations to educate people about the group and the therapeutic aspect of music. The group doesn't perform in pubic often, mainly because their music is mostly for their personal needs.

A NIGHT OF CULTURAL EXPRESSION
AT ST. GREGORY HIGH SCHOOL

St. Gregory High School at Ashland Avenue and Gregory Street (5500N / 1600W) will present a true celebration of the diversity that is Chicago and their student body, in their Auditorium on
Saturday, April 8 at 7:30pm.

This gala musical production of multi-cultural percussion features the drum because of its ancient significance among all cultures--and because no matter our color, race or religion, we share that heartbeat. While all of the performing groups are professional, St. Gregory students are involved in all phases of production from the Art Department's design of a "percussion experience installation" on Ashland Avenue to the St. Gregory Chorus, to behind-the-scenes set design, lighting and sound.

Among the 300 student population of the school are 22 different cultures. Although St. Gregory High School is part of the Archdiocese, only 50% of the students are Catholic. The school teaches English as a Second Language to help students new to our country, language and culture. To honor the rich diversity of the student population, they frequently bring leaders of other faiths into the classrooms in an effort to abolish intolerance and build bridges to understanding and mutual respect.

Come hear the beats of Native American, West African, Nigerian, Korean, Afro-Cuban Brazilian drums, the Irish bodhran and Persian music. The grand finale is a collaboration of Woman Spirit Drummers and all of the groups.

Monies raised will benefit the Scholarship Fund for students of all cultures. Tickets are $10 for students and seniors (60+) and $15 for all others, and are available in advance by mail or at the school office. The address is 1677 West Bryn Mawr in Chicago; phone 773/907-2106.
