Our apologies for missing you last month, but now we start the New Year with renewed optimism, certainly more than at some moments during the past few months. Partly this is due to the annual cycle having come 'round again, bringing with it another opportunity to get it right—this time. But another, larger part of this optimism comes from having made it through our recent experiences, changed to be sure, but also reassured that great good can come from great tragedy. The pain of losing our illusions has paid for a gain in experience and perspective. This month we have an introduction to a significant improvement in homeopathic medicines with direct applications against environmental and biological threats, and an interesting way to take action to influence one's environment in a positive way. John Cain, President of Celletech, Ltd., asked one of the doctors in New York to provide him with samples of the fall-out. She sent Celletech samples of the airborne and ground-level materials from Ground Zero. When a laboratory technician opened the package that arrived, her eyes became watery and she coughed and wheezed. Celletech immediately determined to handle the material as a toxic substance. Celletech, Ltd., located in Madison, Wisconsin, has customers all over the United States, including the New York City area.
