Embrace the Light
by Guy Spiro

One of things that has always stood out for me about consensus reality is the tendency to think that the way things are is the way they are always going to be, that the current trend is the way things are going to go from that point on. This is never the case. All things in manifest existence are subject to cycles. There is nothing in nature that does not rise and fall, breathe in and out, go out and return and so on.

Take the level of water in Lake Michigan for example. At times it goes down and the headlines scream The Lake Water Is Falling. We’re going to have to cut off the western suburbs. A crisis is looming. A few years later the water level is high and then it’s, Oh, No, The Water Is Rising. The shoreline is eroding. The North Shore is going to fall in. Now of course if your house is about to be lost to the lake then the problem is very real, and if the water should drop too low and it becomes a problem to pipe water to the west that would be a bad thing. But come on, these things come and go. The markets rise and fall and the players act surprised when they, of all people, should know that it is going to happen.

Another way this turns up is the way people have a hard time believing it when things are in a “getting better” phase. When things are at their worst is when we should start our celebrations, because when the bottom is hit there is nowhere else to go but up. Look at how difficult it can be to accept when things are better.

It is easy to see how someone who was considered unattractive as a younger person, but was a late bloomer and is now seen as beautiful, can go through the rest of life still thinking they are ugly. It was interesting to see that guy Jared, who lost all that weight eating Subway sandwiches, but in the early commercials was still standing and holding himself like an overweight person uncomfortable with how he looked. He did finally start to look more natural. Subway probably got him some coaching.

The point of all of this is that we are now emerging from a very dark and scary astrological period. Those of you who read my Astro-Weather will know what I’m talking about, and this month’s overview talks a bit about it. There will be fallout and adjustment to this two year period for some time to come. And bad things happen to people in the best of times. But we really are coming out of the shadow that has hung over us. We who have survived will thrive, and all the more quickly if we let go of feelings we have had. There are some really great energies taking shape that we can benefit much more greatly from if we can quickly shake off the gloom that has been upon us. I know it seemed as if it would last forever (and again, some bad things will still happen), but nothing ever does. We are emerging into the brighter light of better days. The darkness is lifting, don’t hang on to it.

Embrace the light.
