Caroline Myss Archetype Cards

Order The CardsArchetypes are ancient, universal patterns of behavior that are embedded in what Carl Jung called the “collective unconscious.” Caroline Myss has created a unique set of 74 Archetype Cards, each individually designed to provide the basic Light and Shadow Attributes of a different Archetype. The deck also contains six blank cards on which you can create your own Archetypes.

Included is an instruction booklet explaining how to use the cards to help determine which Archetypes are most active in your psyche, and how they can lead you to achieve greater insights into your life. The deck is suitable to be used by itself, in conjunction with Caroline’s book Sacred Contracts, or with any of her workshops and seminars.

A useful tool for self-exploration, if used diligently to consider hidden possibilities. The Archetype Cards are not intended for divination, rather they provide opportunities to see inner aspects of ourselves that are often denied. In denying these aspects, we give them power over us, to influence our feelings and decisions in secret. By exposing and confronting them, we take back that power.

Music of Joy

“Beautiful music is a way for all mankind to physically hear and experience the essence of the Divine, transcending both time and space. Through the energy, vibration and harmony of sound, we can connect to our higher self and to one another. With music in our lives, we gain an even deeper knowing of the joy of our own existence,” says Jim Jenkins, composer and performer of this album.

Jim’s musical journey began in early childhood when his mother, an accomplished pianist and teacher, taught him to harmonize with his siblings, who often sang at church services, family gatherings and other community events in Idaho Falls, ID. Later he became a member of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. During this experience, he gained a greater knowledge of and deep appreciation for the great works of the masters. During the next three decades, he became well known in both the Los Angeles and Seattle areas as an outstanding vocalist and choral conductor.

Through the wonders of electronic pianos, keyboards and midi-synthesizers, a whole new musical world opened for Jim. Thousands of different sound combinations, new melodies and rich harmonies streamed into his consciousness. The yardstick in determining which of his songs had merit was rather simple. Jim only recorded music that moved him to tears of joy. Although his mother has passed away, Jim feels her spirit’s presence and approval of his music.

The album is quiet in essence, but with a consistent tone of uplifting strength running through the compositions. Neither simply dismissible background music, nor so dominating as to preclude other activities, these tracks seem to express a sense of underlying purpose integrated into whatever one is doing at the moment, imparting a subliminally focused Zen feeling.
