Coming Soon to a Location Near You:
The Indigo Evolution

As a member of the Emissary of Light email list, I have received periodic updates about the production of The Indigo Evolution, a documentary film about actual Indigos, directed and produced by James Twyman in partnership with documentary producer Kent Romney, Stephen Simon (Executive Producer), and Doreen Virtue (Associate Producer). I saw the original Indigo movie and enjoyed the story. However, while my appetite was wetted by this piece of fiction, I wanted to know more. If only they'd do a documentary on the Indigos, I thought. As it turned out, I was not the only one with that desire. Twyman began planning his latest venture after hearing many voice the idea of doing a documentary on the Indigos.

As I write this column, The Indigo Evolution is in the can. My latest email communication informed me that the movie's world premier in Phoenix, Arizona, on November 14th was a smashing success. Four hundred attended that premier and the stage is now set for the worldwide release on January 28, 2006—also the date of the second annual "World Indigo Day."

James Twyman, of course, is proud as a new papa. "I was overwhelmed by the response," he said. "We've been working on this film for around eight months now, but I realized we wouldn't really know what we had until it was in front of a live audience. Now I truly believe that this film will be embraced by millions of people around the world, everyone who is interested in the New Children who are streaming onto the planet today."

As for myself, I can hardly wait to see the film. In order to get a sneak preview, I traveled to the movie's official website (www.theindigoevolution.com). The site is chock full of information about the Indigo children in general and, of course, the movie. The home page contains the heading "Who Are The Indigo Children?" and asks, "Have they come to save the world? Or are they the product of wishful imaginations?" The answer contains a short definition of the Indigos:

"Whatever you call them, our children are coming into the world with their eyes wide open, ready to play their role in creating a world of compassion and peace. Are we witnessing a major leap in human evolution, what Jean Houston calls 'Jump Time?' Many people believe that we are on the brink of a global awakening, and that the Indigo Children are here to show us our highest potential."

It also features a nutshell description of the movie:

"In The Indigo Evolution you will hear from leading experts from around the world that this is much more than an imaginary fancy. The Children are real, and they are changing the world. Director James Twyman takes us on a journey into one of the most important questions of our day: "Has the human race finally evolved to a higher reality?"

Other features of the Indigo home page include a link to information about where

The Indigo Evolution will be playing premiere weekend and another link for organizations that would like to host a premiere showing of the movie during the weekend of January 27-29, 2006. A click on the location link takes you to a website called Spiritual Cinema Network (SCN- www.spiritualcinemanetwork.com). SCN is a joint project of The Spiritual Cinema Circle and James Twyman's The Beloved Community. It was developed as a new paradigm for film distribution through joining forces with conscious organizations. The network was created as a way to gather like-minded individuals around the world who want to experience films that not only entertain but inspire us to be better human beings. Films that are featured at the site include The Indigo Evolution and Conversations with God.

As of November 16th, the only place in Illinois premiering The Indigo Evolution is The P*I*C List in Lockport, Illinois, on January 27th. There are two locations in Wisconsin (in Brookfield and in Madison) and three in Indiana (all in Indianapolis). Hey Chicago, we've got to catch up! We can do that by clicking on the "If your organization would like to host a premiere" link at The Indigo Evolution site." That link takes you right back to the SCN site where you can click on the link, "How to Host a Premiere."  Information on this page includes:

     · That there is no fee to become a Premiere Host. SCN simply shares in the revenue generated from your premiere showing.

     · Becoming a host involves reading and filling out an online contract.

     · After being confirmed as a Premiere Host, your event location will be listed on the SCN web site.

     · There is a link on the page to resources that will help promote your event.

According to SCN, benefits for hosting a premiere include fundraising and attracting more people to your organization-and becoming part of the network supporting spirituality in cinema.

But, back to The Indigo Evolution site. Click on the "Film" link and you get thumbnail bios on the producers and directors. A more interesting link is "Multimedia." It is here that you can listen to music from the movie and sample interviews with some of the Indigo children. One of those young people is Akiane, a beautiful and very gifted young girl who was interviewed for the documentary. Another is Elijah who wrote the music. Each has their own website. At Elijah's (www.elijah.cc), you are invited to see: "It is time to see each person, place and thing in our lives as extensions of source energy, leaves on a tree."  Elijah is no longer a child, but certainly must be Indigo or pre-Indigo. His bio states that he "was born of music—his parents were members of a 70s touring band when they fell in love. They must have fed him solid groove through the womb, because Elijah's first language is music. Elijah learned music by ear, listening to tunes and then mimicking them on the piano. He wrote his first song when he was three years old, and by the time he hit high school, he was engaged to songwriting."

At Akiane's site (www.artakiane.com), we are invited to explore the art and poetry of this internationally recognized 11-year-old genius who has been selected as one of the twenty most accomplished visual artists in the world by Tribute Entertainment (London) and ABI (United States). And hers is not a selfish gift. "I am blessed by God," states Akiane, "And if I'm blessed, there is one reason, and one reason only, and that is to help others."

My advice is to visit all of these marvelous sites and then to see-or even host-the premiere of The Indigo Evolution in January. What a wonderful way to start off the New Year!
