Dannion Brinkley, the man who has died, died, and died again, in our third interview since his first NDE and conversion to the light. Guy Spiro: Dannion, it has been almost ten years since we’ve talked for publication. I’m glad that you haven’t died since then, again. Dannion Brinkley: Well, it has been a wonderful experience. I’m trying to give death a day off. You know, I do seem to die about every ten years. GS: So you are due for another brush. [Laughter] DB: I’m about to celebrate my tenth anniversary since the brain surgery in ’97, which was a pretty rough time. They only gave me an eight percent chance to survive. But this was different from my first two experiences. In the first two, I lifted out of my body, watched what was going on around me, saw what I always call the blue-grey place, and then the tunnel formed and then I went down it. Then came the most important part, which is the panoramic life view. I think the greatest tool ever taught from the near death experience is what we now call the panoramic life view, the book of judgment, the hall of records where all things are written. Everyone will have their life pass before them in a 360 degree panorama. Then they will watch it from the second person point of view as if they were their own best friend. “You know Dannion, that was pretty cool,” or “you know Dannion, that was dumb as hell.” And then they become every person that they have ever encountered. They feel the direct results of them interacting with each person. That is the lesson of the near death experience: how, instead of living in fear of the “unknown” or living in fear of heaven or hell, you can structure your life based on the review. With the first two experiences, I had two of these reviews. With the third near death experience, I lifted out of my body during the brain surgery and instead of floating above, I was standing at my body’s feet. I was watching them do this brain surgery, drill these holes in the side of my head, and I was in this blue-grey place. [Editor’s note: This level has been called by some the etheric plane, between the physical and the astral, where one is no longer physical but can still see it. It is known to be the ghost, or earth-bound spirit plane.] Now I thought I was the world’s leading authority on all this because I had already been through two of these and I had already been a hospice volunteer by then for twenty years. What I realized in this blue-grey place, this time, was that I wasn’t alone. This was a world, or dimension, or a parallel universe and this is where people can get trapped. This is where purgatory is to the Catholics. Every religion has a word for it. As I looked around, I would move through spheres of people. They were grouped in categories and many of them were veterans. They were people who had either had a harrowing death, or died too fast, or died in prison camps, or from abuse, and they were trapped. They kept waiting for someone to come and save them. Then there were people who somewhere along the line had lost their dignity, had become so embittered or so hated, or had so much hatred within them, that they would never see the light. It was astounding to me that this world existed. The first two times I was only in the blue-grey place for a few moments, to acclimate and then moved on down the tunnel. I came back from this near death experience changed again. I went down the tunnel, I started into the panoramic life of view, but I never got to the point where it was where I got to be every person that I had encountered. I went through seeing my life pass before me, I watched it from a second person point of view and then, all the sudden, I was back. I came back into the blue-grey place and spent 41 hours in recovery. When I came out of that, I had a massive grand mal seizure and they had to put me on life support in the neurocardiac ward. When I finally came out of it, I created the Twilight Brigade, which is a hospice group, one of the largest end-of-life care volunteer programs for dying veterans in American history. I developed a training program based on this blue-grey experience in the third near death experience so that those that I helped from this world to the next are beacons of light. I’ve gone on to train about 3700 active trainees. I finally figured out that my whole life’s mission was to create these centers. So I’ve taken ten years to create the Twilight Brigade. It is in 22 states and is the forerunner of what will become The Centers. GS: It is good work, as all of your work has been. I know many people who have been involved in Compassion In Action. DB: I recently received the President’s lifetime award for outstanding volunteer services to veterans and I am now a little over 25,000 hours at the bedside. GS: It is not enough to say that somebody has to do it. DB: We all have our callings, Guy. We all have the things in our life that make a difference. I’ve always looked at it as I’m “cosmic Dannion” because I guess I have an excellent memory of what happens in the near death experience, plus I have 25,000 hours working with people taking their last breaths. There is not much about death, the process, how we get there, the systems and protocols that we deal with once we’re there, that I haven’t seen. But we all try to find in our lives what we think is important to give back. I have decided to give back where I can make the greatest difference, at the bedside of those who are going someplace that I know the way to. I know what is next and help create resolution and closure between them and their loved ones and acceptance of what is to come. GS: Which makes it much less likely to get stuck in that place. DB: You get it. You know the mission of Dannion Brinkley. I noticed that people noticed me as I watched them in this blue-grey place and these areas. I noticed that they were still going about their business, but they saw that I was there. And so I listened to the thoughts and I thought through this so that I could develop the most perfect techniques, so that people passing and seeing the tunnel didn’t get stopped and didn’t get trapped. They would go down the tunnel and inspire some just like them to follow them down the tunnel, because there is nothing that keeps them there. They stay by their own volition. They don’t want to go through the tunnel because they are still working through loss, grief, bereavement, loss of dignity and stuff like that. I’ll tell you though, it is amazing to stop and think about the wars and the things like
GS: I would ask what you won’t get away with, but you would say you won’t get away with anything. DB: Well you don’t get away with anything when you have your life pass before you and you are going to be every person that you have ever encountered. You think about what we as a nation are doing and what other nations are doing to humanity and realize that you may not be the person that pulled the trigger, but you will definitely feel the net results of the actions that you didn’t take or should have. GS: This review process is probably why I all too often play to the laugh track in my dealings with people. I always have this sense of being watched and I make jokes as if I’m a character in a sitcom, often to my own detriment. [Laughter] DB: Yeah, but life is funny. I always tell people that as they search for spirituality, if someone is trying to put something on you and it is not at least a little funny, then it probably has little to do with spirituality. Spirituality is the greatest, most delightful, funny, wondrous experience. Once you pass that blue-grey place, it is nothing but delight and wonderment. GS: Because of my own experiences, I have absolutely no fear of death itself, but I do have some concern about how it may happen. DB: Well, that is called living a good life, though the last time I checked, the demographic says there is about a 100% chance that death is going to occur. [Laughter] GS: Of course, you know what the leading cause of death is. DB: Yes I do, it’s birth. GS: You catch that birth, you going to die. [feigning an even deeper southern accent than Dannion’s] [Laughter again] DB: No question about it. If you get into that first part, you are definitely going to have the second. I just think it is wonderous. People have always asked me, what is the most perfect religion? Theoretical quantum mechanics, to me, is the most perfect religion. I have found more questions to answers to questions that I have explored in this realm of spirituality. There are more things that happen in the near death experience that quantum mechanics explains than any duplicitous mythology that we call religion that I’ve ever crossed. GS: We have reached the end times of the efficiency of the old religious systems, and that efficiency has been in question for quite some time anyway. DB: Well, we know better. I mean that we know the earth is not the center of the universe. GS: And that it wasn’t created 6000 years ago. DB: And we know it’s not flat. [Laughter] We know how so many things work and function. And it is hilarious what people have believed throughout history. 6000 years ago, that really goes out of the window if you go to the museum of natural history and you see a tyrannosaurus rex skeleton and it says, “went extinct during the Paleolithic period, 168 million years ago.” Now, how does a fundamentalist explain that? GS: I don’t know. They’ve got a museum. I’m tempted to go look at it. DB: That one in
GS: Yeah DB: Oh, I can’t wait. GS: I’ll meet you there. DB: I would like to see those dinosaurs on the ark. How would you feed a dinosaur on the ark? GS: Well, Satan put those bones there just to confuse us, didn’t he? DB: I used to say that. I’ll never forget that, when someone would ask me, “how do you explain a dinosaur?” I’d say, “That is the work of Satan. They are trying to get you to believe something. I don’t know what they are trying to get you to be believe.” Religion as we have known it has reached it maximum amount of saturation. GS: The underlying teachings and meanings are more important than ever but the old religions, as they are all too often used now, do more harm than good. DB: You know I grew up in the fundamentalist South and how I have watched the death concept and the advancements of science. We don’t even live in the same universe now. We don’t even have the same planets. We have just now discovered one that is the same as the earth, a new planet that is the same as our Earth. So now if we have a planet like Earth in another solar system, out of the uncounted billions that are out there, what does that tell us? We are not alone. GS: “Alone in the universe” has been ludicrous the whole time. You talked about the new physics. I love the joke about how when the physicist gets up to the top of a mountain, he finds a yogi sitting there. DB: That’s the truth, and the yogi is wondering what took the physicist so long. What is so exciting about this to me is that I never believed any of this kind of stuff. One day I never believed any of this, the next day I was dead, and the day after that I became everything that I never believed. After I had the first near death experience, I knew that we live in dimensions. I knew that the world of physical reality was a lot more make believe than we ever thought possible. The physical world is an illusion that we ourselves construct and manufacture. I knew that from being dead and not because I was very smart. And then I started to try to find answers, how do we understand this world? So I started looking at quantum physics, the multi-universe theory and psychotronics because there is so much work that lends so much credibility to the fact that there are not only these esoteric sciences, but also valuable uses, like Larry Dossey’s work in the power of prayer and how it operates. It really tells you the story, nonlocal healing makes all the sense in the world once you start looking at these esoteric sciences. One of the most wondrous things that I have ever encountered is the fact that you never touch anything. When you look at the esoteric energies in quantum physics and you look at the photons that create levels of energies, you never touch anything your entire life. You only touch the barrier created by the potential of the photons being produced as you move towards it. And as you start to think about that, the magic of simple physical reality becomes the biggest joke. If you look at an atom under an electron microscope, you realize it is 94.6 percent empty space. And I realized that I would rather live in that 94.6 percent much more than I ever would want to live in that other five percent, but what it teaches everybody is that your physical world will never be more than five percent of reality. GS: I find the physical plane fascinating for its seeming density. In the East, they will tell you that the physical plane is Maya, illusion. And it is. It is a dream plane like any other plane. But when you stub your toe, it frikkin’ hurts! DB: Well, no question in my mind. It has to get your attention to what you are supposed to be focusing on because it is the manufacturing and the transposition of that part of matter into spiritual consciousness. I realize that the physical universe is a collective pattern that we’ve created and we never ever touch it. But in our hearts and our minds and our actions is the ability to collectively come together and transform this physical reality into a heartfelt, loving reality. That is partly why I love the psychotronics program. GS: Good people. DB: Not only that, but you will find of the weirdest crackpots that are more brilliant than you can imagine. And I believe that quantum physics and then the world of radionics and psychotronics creates a space where science and spirituality truly meet. Where science and spirituality meet is the only frontier left for us to truly decide what divinity is and what our place and field in it is. GS: What else you are doing now that you are excited about? DB: I’m really excited about bringing the Center. I’m working in the
GS: What you are going to be doing here for the psychotronics event? DB: What I want to do, why I’m asking everybody to please come, is because we have to figure out a way to move past all the dogmas. We have to find where science and spirituality meet, because when you are having a presidential debate over evolution ... GS: Did you see those knuckleheads raise their hands? [Laughter] DB: Was that the dumbest thing you ever saw? GS: One of. DB: I believe without any question that we are moving to quantum mass. I believe the legendary Mayan perspective of the galactic center, I believe that by 2012 and ’13 and ’14, because remember my original vision went to 2014, that from 2010-2014, our entire conscious reality is going to change. It is going to change, because they are saying that the solar flare activity after 2012 will be greater and more powerful than it has ever been, and the fact that we have this thing called global warming. The fact is that when these things take hold, where we are in our metaphysical consciousness is going to dramatically shift. I believe the psychotronics program and I believe the radionics program and I believe the U.S. psychotronics business. I believe it is one of the frontiers that needs to be explored so that we truly begin to merge in using these scientific paradigms to better understand our physical, emotional and mental reality so that we prepare for this transition. We are talking 5-7 years, so we’d best be focusing now. I’m asking for people to come and expose themselves to this kind of information, so that they have streams of consciousness that, when they start to watch these things unfold, they won’t be led around like bulls with rings in their noses. They’ll have a conscious perspective of the possibility and potential.
