Fire the Grid

What are you doing on Tuesday, July 17, 2007? Do you have an hour to spare to join in with millions around the globe to heal the world? According to Near-Death Experiencer Shelley Yates, that’s exactly what can happen if we join together in joyful prayer and meditation for just one hour on that date.

Shelley has been traveling around the United States and Canada spreading her message. I heard her during the May meeting of Chicago IANDS (International Association of Near-Death Studies). She is a fascinating and very sincere speaker who, in the space of a few years, has managed to inspire the creation of Fire the Grid teams in 55 countries. You don’t have to be part of an official team, though. You can join in this grand spiritual experiment with your own group of friends—or even alone.

Want to find out more? The best way to do that is to visit the Fire the Grid website (www.firethegrid.com). The site, which has been translated into several languages, gives a detailed overview of the mission that Shelley has been given by the beings of light that she met during her NDE and with whom she continues to communicate. She stresses that Fire the Grid is neither an organization nor a foundation, but an event—an ever growing worldwide network of like minded people defining their intentions to the universe, and who desire positive change for our planet.

At the site, Shelley states: “I beseech you to join me when we fire the Earth grid on July 17, 2007, at 11:11 Greenwich Mean Time, and add your energy to this project. I promise you, just one hour of your time and you can help heal this planet, and help create peace among all people.”

What’s nice about the site is a World Clock feature that lets you automatically know what time that translates to in your neck of the woods. For example, in Chicago and other Central Standard Time areas, the Fire the Grid time is 6:11 a.m.

In her plea, Shelley also states, “My son and I are examples of the power of positive energy, and what humans are truly capable of when they unite with the intention of love. Love is the universal language of our world, and the world beyond.” It is the NDE story of Shelley and her son that make this venture so poignant. Click on the “The Story” link and read about it. In November, 2002, in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, Shelley was driving her four-year-old son to a friend’s house for a play date when her car hydroplaned into a flooded marsh and turned over. The car soon flooded with water and despite her best efforts Shelley couldn’t force open the doors. Shelley’s NDE occurred when couldn’t hold her breath anymore and took in a deep breath of water into her lungs. She was panicking when she heard a calm majestic voice directing her to relax and reassuring her that all would be well. When Shelley managed to follow the relax order, she passed quietly into the other side where she saw beings of light who once again assured her that she and her son would get out of the car and be fine. They explained that she must follow instructions—to have faith. At this point, a series of “miracles” started to occur. Two rescuers appeared, one of whom just happened to have a paramedic as his passenger. It took them fifteen minutes to pull Shelley’s body from the car and another seven for the paramedic to revive her. Upon revival, Shelley bolted upright and blurted, “get my baby out of the car.”

By the time the rescuers were able to retrieve the little boy’s body, almost thirty minutes had passed. When Shelley arrived at IWK Hospital (after a detour to another hospital where she was able to stabilize her vital signs enough to be allowed to borrow some clothes and go to her son), she was met by a team of doctors who assured her that her son was brain dead. In addition, his internal organs were full of blood. He was on life support with less than a one percent chance of surviving and the doctors wanted Shelley’s permission to pull the plug.

But the voice came again and said, “Have faith, child.” That faith consisted of following instructions. Shelley was instructed to rebuild her son’s aura by infusing his little body with the auras of others. Each person was supposed to spend twenty minutes (no more, because then their own auras would be drained) sending energy to her son. This was to be followed by a ten-minute period in which the person would share their joy with him (sing songs, tell stories, etc.). Shelley states: “The fact that I was able to convince the hospital to allow this unorthodox behaviour to happen was a miracle in itself, but on the third day, after 72 hours of constant vigil, my boy opened his little eyes and recognized me. He was back!”

And not only that: Despite doctors’ continued predictions that her son Evan would never walk or talk or be normal again, the boy completely recovered all his body functions within the first week, and by the end of the second week was running down the halls to the hospital playroom. Today, Evan is a bright nine-year-old, the biggest boy in his third-grade class.

According to the light beings who continued to come to Shelley after this double NDE, the power of loving energy that healed the boy Evan, can be used to heal this planet. Shelley states:

“As they told me to rotate the humans through my son’s room, they have told me to unite humanity from every corner of the globe. Not every human, just representatives from every corner. The light beings have told me we can stop much of this harmful behavior and destruction if enough humans decide that they want to become spiritually connected. It is possible to re-form a grid connection between us that will allow us to realign the energy of this planet and with each other.”

The grid, according to “The Plan” section of the site, is a grid-type configuration of Source energy connection. For one hour beginning at 11:11 Greenwich Mean Time, there will be a surge of creation energy, which will make our reconnection possible. For more details and to take advantage of free music downloads, printable PDFs of the site which can be shared with friends (go to the “Downloads” section), and much more, please visit www.firethegrid.com.

The most important thing, however, is to donate one hour of joyful energy to the cause of healing the earth on July 17, 2007. Many of you, like me, participated in the harmonic convergence in August of 1987. Remember the breakup of the Soviet Union, the reunification of West and East Germany, and the ending of apartheid in South Africa? Remember the 1990s with its increased tolerance of others? Remember how close we got to having a day in which no wars were being fought on the planet? Things have certainly done a 180-degree turn toward the worse. Perhaps it’s time to fire up our collective spiritual power and, in turn, fire up the grid of Source energy connection that can correct the course of our misdirection. It’s certainly worth our best efforts. I know I’m going to participate and I hope that you will, too.
