Soul VisioningA Highly Recommended Journey
It’s not often that I find myself mentioned in the acknowledgements section of a book. When I read that section in Susan Wisehart’s new book, Soul Visioning: Clear the Past, Create Your Future, I was pleasantly surprised to find the following thank you: “My appreciation goes to Mary Montgomery for helping me be ‘discovered.’” The thanks must also be for The Monthly Aspectarian, because it was via that platform that I published the August, 2006, column, “My Journey into Life Between Life,” about my experience with Susan and Life Between Life (LBL) regression. That column was read by Carrie Obry, an Acquisitions Editor at Llewellyn Publications, and the rest, as they say, is history. Many of my readers may have read the excerpt from Chapter One of Soul Visioning that appeared in the November issue of The Monthly Aspectarian. A key sentence in that excerpt is: “We need to listen to our inner guidance: our intuition is our soul’s Will. Inspiration is the feeling of the soul, and imagination is the way the soul thinks.” You’ve all heard of The Secretand also of the criticism that The Secret often seemed to focus on the “What’s in it for my Ego Me,” instead of the more spiritual or soulful aspects of life. Wisehart’s Soul Visioning process is a distinct corrective to The Secret. It recognizes that there is a vast difference between our Ego Path and our Soul Path and that it is in our best interest to vision what our soul’s desire is, rather trying to force feed the Ego’s ultimately empty and destructive desires. In the Soul Visioning process, the Ego is Obstacle #1. For example, another section of Chapter One, states: “One common problem for those trying to manifest an ideal life is letting the ego take the pilot’s seat. Many of the people using current manifestation techniques are learning skills that address the wants and the needs of the personality or ego. This is a key point, because when we put the ego in control of creating our future, we have an impostor in charge.” Soul Visioning is the technique developed by Susan Wisehart that helps us get in touch with our inner selves in order to tap into our the wisdom of our soul. It is this wisdom that gives us the power to create a life of passion and purpose. Susan is eminently qualified to be our guide along this journey. She is a holistic psychotherapist and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who integrates traditional and non-traditional approaches in her private practice. In addition, she was trained by Dr. Brian Weiss in Past Life Regression therapy and by Dr. Michael Newton in Life Between Lives hypnotherapy. As an extension of my LBL regression experience, I did some Soul Visioning work with Susan and I can tell you first hand that the experience is very worthwhile. In fact, part of my experience with Susan is detailed in the bookthe names have been changed, but if you read the book, I think you may be able to guess which case history is mine. For me, then, reading and perusing the Soul Visioning information in the book and on Susan’s website (www.susanwisehart.com) was a refresher courseand a very welcome one, I might add. The Susan Wisehart website contains information that is useful for those exploring the possibility of investing in the book. Those who purchase the book get a special link that allows them to download a free MP3 file or order a CD of the various guided journeys and meditations in the book. That link also has free downloads of the worksheets that accompany exercises in the book. If you’re exploring the possibility of Soul Visioning, click on the “Soul Visioning Process” link to find out some of the particulars about the process. This section points out that Soul Visioning is a seven step process that combines the best of hypnotherapy, Energy Psychology methods, and soul work to clear the blocks and limiting beliefs that sabotage your soul/life purpose. In Soul Visioning, you are guided into a deeply relaxed state where you meet with your ideal future self (the part of you that is soulful, wise, compassionate, empowered, light-hearted and connected to the Divine). From that soul guided perspective you envision/live a deeply fulfilled and purposeful life. The unconscious resistances to the soul’s expression of that life are cleared using powerful leading edge processes. Click on the “Book Endorsements” link and you can read the endorsements that appear in the book, as well as reviews of the book that appeared in Publisher’s Weekly and the Association for Humanistic Psychology Perspectives. One of the endorsements that is in the book is by Dr. Brian L. Weiss, M.D. Weiss states: “Susan Wisehart’s new book, Soul Visioning, is an expansive and comprehensive manual that will help you understand your soul’s purpose. This beautiful and practical book is filled with wisdom and includes techniques and exercises for accessing your own deeper states of self-awareness and inner clarity. Wonderful case histories and clinical vignettes powerfully illustrate the soul lessons. I highly recommend this book.”
In the Association for Humanistic Psychology Perspectives review, Dr. Barbara Terao states: “I found the guided meditations to be powerful experiences in terms of what they (my Soul, in Susan’s terms) revealed to me. The Peak Experiences guided meditation involves a life review that helped me see patterns that in turn revealed my most precious values, the Soul ideals by which to live my life. The Soul Visioning guided journey introduced me to a helpful character, my ideal future self who is in, as Wisehart puts it, ‘the synchronous flow of your divine destiny.’” As you can tell, I’m enthusiastic about Soul Visioning. So are a lot of other people. The book, for example, is on the bestseller list at Amazon in the category of reincarnation. I found that by reading the book, my own soul visioning process is being taken to a higher level. I plan to download that MP3 file and use those worksheets. I’m also starting to incorporate one of the Energy Psychology methods that Susan recommends into my life-practice. I was already familiar with the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), which Susan references, but I was not familiar with Whole HealthEasily and Effectively (WHEE). This is similar to EFT, but simpler and easier. I’m giving it the old college try. I’m also considering taking a refresher course at one of Susan’s workshops. Upcoming workshops include a “Group Guided Past Life Regression Workshop” on December 14, 2008, 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in
My advice: Do your soul a favorit’s trying to get you to listen up! Get the Soul Visioning book and give it your own college try. It is not a quick fix, but it does work.
