Consciousness:
To transform anything, first it must be known, understood and embraced. The source of consciousness is inside. Tackling the challenges of the next century will require people who are exceptional. We will need people with super-fast, super-clean thought processes, people who simplify complexity, people who can hold integrity in the face of opposition, people who have access to unlimited joy. Ninety percent of all science and technological development has occurred in the last ten years. One hundred years ago, more than ninety percent of all people were involved in agriculture, working the land, and most had no electricity. Now, in a regular day, many people never touch the earth, are outside for less than an hour and spend the their day sitting in front of a technological tools. Change is inevitable and the pace increases. Within the next thirty years nanotechnology, artificial intelligence, genetic engineering, virtual reality, climate change, the demands for clean water and a clean place to live will create change that is unprecedented. Those of us who are willing to step toward this future will be in demand. To tackle these challenges requires people with willingness and heart. People who are awake, present, have clarity of mind and the courage to face truth. People who have overcome personal limitations, “their scars from the past,” will be highly sought after. We will need people with an inner stillness, integrity and a central focus of will that is unstoppable. We need them right now. Pollution, poor diet, interaction with technology, stress, drugs and emotional trauma bring clouded thinking, sleepiness, and a lack of will. In life, interaction with these agents of desperation is inevitable; retaining clarity of mind, inner stillness, joyfulness and access to your will (unfortunately), is not; but it is our right as a human being, and it can be developed. By experiencing the joy, vastness, clarity and integrity of inner realms, consciousness is gradually refined, blocks on the will are removed, and clouded thinking is cleared. When you touch the essence of who you are, all kinds of health and emotional issues are released and healed. To transform anything, first it must be known, understood and embraced. The source of consciousness is inside. There are all kinds of techniques available which offer the opportunity to experience inner realms. It is the experiential techniques that will have the most profound effect on consciousness. It is the organizing power of vision, seeing reality “just as it is,” that brings a clarifying effect on consciousness. Returning to the same inner space, time and time again, will have a structuring effect on subtle bodies. Going inside has a fortifying effect on consciousness. It is this clarity, stability and familiarity with inner realms, that will help us to retain principles of integrity while facing completely new situations. Inner space techniques take us inside and, by experience, teach us to navigate inner realms. Working with inner space can bring soul flexibility. By developing organs of subtle perception, a new relationship to creation develops, vision opens, metaphysical shifts change perception, sources of power and energy are awakened inside. It is this enlargement of consciousness that overcomes depression, anxiety, fear, anger and sleepiness. Experiencing the source of consciousness has a natural reorganizing and restructuring effect on our emotional and mental well being. Meditation is considered to be the practice that takes us inside. There are many styles of meditation just as there are many styles of inner work. Look for techniques focused on releasing emotional blockages, on touching the essence of yourself, on developing inner stillness, techniques focused on mapping spiritual realms; and you can build subtle structures that fortify and stabilize consciousness. To conquer the challenges of the next millennium, we are going to need people who are equipped with this kind of inner fortitude. There are a plethora of meditation techniques available. Look for a method that has depth, that speaks to the eternal part of you. Look for techniques that make you dangerous, that make you unstoppable, that allow you to manifest the God inside. When you find the technique that works, practice, practice, practice; enlightenment is for the cosmically stubborn. We often believe that we do not have time, but now is the only time we have.
