Dear Readers, Did you know that September will be the 30th anniversary of The Monthly Aspectarian? Much has happened over these many years. We’ve witnessed and participated in the tremendous evolution of the consciousness movement; we’ve seen six presidents, and experienced the ebb and flow of economic activity. What we’ve never seen is an economy quite like this. We’re writing you now to encourage you to support our advertisers and the consciousness community. This has been a time of reduced spending for many of us. While this is mostly good and necessary, we’d like you to consider some things. Most of our advertisers and those like them are small business people supplying services that, however vital to our wellbeing, are not vital to survival. They are unlikely to see much benefit from all the stimulus spending. A Reiki treatment, a massage, a natural spa day, a spiritual service, a reading, a new book, a pack of incense, many of us have cut back on these things, probably without much thought. Many of the people who provide these services and items are having a slow time. We often hear people say after learning that a store or practice has gone out of business that they wish they had known, they would have done something. We have the ability to be the stimulus package for them. We can decide to continue supporting the businesses that assist in our growth and feed our souls. Many small companies employ at least a couple of people and it is in our power to keep these like minded people employed. It is increasingly understood that we co-create our lives and the world around us. We now have the opportunity to put this into action. We ask that in your own lives you pray daily for the wellbeing of not only the world economy, but conscious businesses and practitioners in particular. We ask further that you continue, resume, or begin the habit of supporting them. Also, we are having to work harder and harder for the advertising that makes The Monthly Aspectarian possible. If we have helped you on your path over these 30 years, we hope that you will consider assisting us. All of us working together keeps our consciousness community thriving and doing the great work of bringing more light to our world. |
