EDITORIAL
MISSION
Since 1979, The Monthly
Aspectarian has been dedicated to awakening consciousness, with the focus
of our efforts being in theareas of personal growth, healthy and holistic
living, spiritual transformation, and global awareness.
Today The Monthly Aspectarian has secured a position as the foremost voice
in the Midwest for those seeking enhancement of body, mind, and spirit.
This is accomplished by delivering superb feature articles by nationally
known writers, regular monthly columns on topics of interest, interviews
with best selling authors and personalities, special editorial sections,
plus current happenings, reviews, and directories of products, services,
and events.
CIRCULATION OBJECTIVE
The Monthly Aspectarian
is distributed at over 800 locations, primarily within a 100-mile radius
of Chicago and Rockford in northern Illinois, southern Wisconsin, and
northwestern Indiana. The magazine is free to the reader, and can be found
at most major chain bookstores, larger natural food stores, health and
herbal stores, New Age and metaphysical stores, local colleges and universities,
vegetarian and regular restaurants, gourmet coffee shops, libraries, churches,
retreats and holistic centers. Nearly 40,000 copies are printed and distributed
monthly, read by over 100,000 individuals.
Thanks to this dedicated readership, the Aspectarian's audience continues
to grow each month, due in large part to our readers' ever-increasing
interest in receiving our features and advertising. These educated and
affluent readers are actively looking for products, services, and events
that can guide and aid them in their personal development.
MARKETING &
ADVERTISING
The Monthly Aspectarian
is a unique and effective advertising venue. Our excellent editorial content
plays a large part in delivering a targeted audience of forward-looking

Guy Spiro's
Original Astro-Weather
The most accurate and informative astrological forecasts available anywhere,
and another Aspectarian exclusive. Astro-Weather focuses not on individual
zodiacal signs, but on the changing influences that present themselves
for all of us each day. These universal effects are the canvas upon which
are painted the events we encounter and create, the background that modulates
both private and public interactions. Each month Astro-Weather provides
Aspectarian readers with a day by day understanding of those activities
and attitudes which are favorably undertaken, may encounter resistance,
or be potential problems. An expanded overview of the month, showing longer-term
aspects, aids both in planning for extended projects and enables a deeper
understanding of the larger flows underlying major trends and world events.
Features, Articles,
and Excerpts
The Monthly Aspectarian accepts articles submitted by experts and practitioners
in their areas. If you have an article that is related to any of the topics
we cover, please feel free to submit it to our editorial staff for consideration.
Articles are for the enjoyment and edification of our readers, and are
not meant to advertise products or services. If your article is accepted
by our editorial staff, we will list your name as author of the article
as well as include a brief biographical statement about your work, with
your phone number or other contact information.
To submit an article or book excerpt, send a Microsoft Word or text file
as an email attachment to tma@lightworks.com or on a PC-readable disk
to our mailing address. Please put "Attn: Editor" on the envelope
or in the subject line. The length should be between 850 and 1,500 words.
Articles may be edited to fit the publication. Submitting an article authorizes
the Aspectarian to publish the article.
In Print Book
Reviews
We are happy to accept books and similar published materials for review
and possible inclusion in forthcoming issues of the Aspectarian. Please
be aware that we receive upwards of 100 such items each month, and so
cannot guarantee that any particular publication will be reviewed on any
given schedule. Whenever practicable, two copies of your item for review
should be sent to our editorial staff. Items to be returned after review
must be accompanied by appropriate pre-addressed packaging and postage.
Display Advertising
Print display advertising is available in Black and White or Full Color.
In addition, our WebSources page combines display and website advertising
in a single low-cost ad. Specifications for furnishing your ads to us
are included in the Advertising Information PDF downloadable from this
page, or you may contact the Advertising Manager for assistance.
If you need assistance in preparing your camera ready art, our expert
graphics staff can help. We will be happy to aid you in production, including
discussion of objectives, copy editing, graphics, layout and typesetting.
Any fees which may be involved are negotiable and will be quoted in advance.
To arrange to coordinate display advertising with the appearance of editorial
material in which you are involved (such as an article, interview, book
excerpt or review), please contact the Advertising Manager.
Lightworkers
Classified Directory
The Lightworkers Classified Directory is an inexpensive way to let customers
know who you are and help them find you. Advertisers can include a brief
description of their product or service, phone, website and other contact
information in a classified listing. Many display advertisers find the
Lightworkers Directory to be an excellent second exposure for their message.
Listings are extensively categorized to help the reader find the right
help. The Lightworkers Classified Directory also appears at www.lightworks.com
at Local Connections.
The Pulse Calendar
The Pulse Calendar includes both a calendar-style listing and an extended
description of events for the current month. Ongoing and future events
may also be included. Pricing is per word, with no limitations on the
length of the listing or how often it is run. Listings in The Pulse also
appear at www.lightworks.com at Local Connections.
Printed and
Customer-Furnished Inserts
Both printed and customer-furnished inserts can easily be accommodated
in the Aspectarian, at very reasonable rates. Full-color and two-color
printing of inserts is available for 4-page and larger sections from your
computer files. Files must meet our production requirements (see Advertising
Rates sheet). Preprinted inserts furnished by you can be of practically
any size or paper stock, as long as the inserts' final (folded) dimensions
are smaller than the magazine trim size. Contact the Advertising Manager
for complete information. Our current press run requires a minimum of
40,000 inserts be furnished. Since our readership for each issue averages
over 100,000, it is recommended that a suitable display ad accompany your
insert to take advantage of the additional readership.
