The truth expressed in the image and likeness imagery might be more useful to think of like this. If God is understood to be the creative life force itself, that which all is made of, that is everywhere present and nowhere not present, then God can be seen as creation and the creation process itself. We have the ability to shape this creative energy through our consciousness, and here is where the image and likeness may make some sense. It’s written that Jesus said at one point, “Is it not written that ye are gods?” We are each shaping the life force, the creative energy of existence itself, through our individual consciousness, into what appears to be our lives. In this sense, we do operate in the image and likeness, creating our own versions of the universe along with everyone else, which make up this vast shared dream of consensual reality.
